The Jeep Liberty is a compact SUV that has been manufactured by Jeep in the United States for model years 2002–2012.

The Liberty was discontinued for 2013 in favor of the larger Cherokee which made a return to the market as a crossover SUV.

This vehicle was first shown as a concept car at the 1998 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, and built on an updated version of the SUV sold overseas since 2001.

A final production design was introduced with the unveiling of the original front-wheel drive Liberty at the 2004 North American International Auto Show, with full-time four-wheel drive models following at subsequent auto shows.

Equipped with a standard 2.8-L or optional 3.7-L V6 engine and available four-wheel drive, the Liberty can take you wherever adventure takes you.

It also comes standard with a 2.8L/173 hp (130 kW) 4-cylinder MPI engine, and either a 5-speed manual transmission or a 4-speed automatic transmission.
