The XTS is a blend of sophisticated style, modern technology and true Cadillac refinement, first introduced for the 2013 model year.

From its bold chrome grille to its intricate tri-shield insignia, the XTS exterior exudes confidence and style.

The interior features a sweeping, contemporary center console design with an upscale feel.

It replaced the STS as the American automaker's full-size luxury car and was discontinued in the USA in 2019.

A rich cabin is highlighted by genuine wood trim, leather seating with contrast piping and heated/ventilated front seats.

The Cadillac XTS has historically used a BCI Group 48 size battery to power its electronics and starter motor.

This car uses a "Negative Crankcase Ventilation" or (NCV) system which means the battery is not vented to the atmosphere.

Depending on driving habits, this type of battery can last 3-5 years under normal conditions.

Failure of the battery would leave you unable to start the car at all during a cold morning in subfreezing temperatures before the engine has warmed up sufficiently to provide power to turn over the engine.

2014 XTS models are available with a front driver's side-rear passenger's side battery setup; this used a BCI Group 48 size battery (11-3/8"L x 6-5/16"W x 8-1/4"H, 303 grams, 47.6Wh using part # GM 19207555).
